Our legacy spans generations, encapsulating the unique journey of the twins Arya and Annahita. The brand name, Aryahita, is a seamless blend of their names. The puma and panda in Aryahita's logo, which were affectionate nicknames given to Arya and Annahita by their parents, Hammad and Ayesha, represent the interchangeable roles the twins play in their family. This playful yet profound symbolism reflects our deep appreciation for heritage and family.
Our journey began in the early 1900s with Jaffar Ali Shah, a generational weaver who established a workshop in Multan, Pakistan. With a keen eye for design and an unwavering commitment to quality, he introduced innovative patterns that blended seamlessly with traditional Bokhara and Caucasian rugs. His workshop became a sanctuary for artisans, fostering creativity and excellence in every weave. Later Jaffar’s son, Iftikhar, was instrumental in setting up warehouses in North America & Europe, bringing the rich heritage of Pakistani rug weaving to a global audience.
In line with family's legacy of innovation, Hammad, son of Iftikhar introduced a novel approach to Aryahita through the incorporation of eco-friendly vegetable-dyed rugs. This initiative resonated well with the contemporary audience. In addition to rugs, he diversified Aryahita's portfolio to include fine art. Behind the scenes, Hammad was instrumental in facilitating Aryahita's digital expansion. He spearheaded the development of this website and broadened its reach across multiple platforms, enhancing the global accessibility of Aryahita's exquisite offerings.
